Experience Discover Immerse Transition

Sequence Wines is a husband and wife owned boutique winery in Ventura County, California. We seek out the best fruit and most interesting varietals we can, sourced primarily from vineyards in the Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. We are taking our passion for bold and balanced flavors and making wines that don't just come from mainstay varietals we have all come to know and love. Through the exploration of varietals and wine making methods, our goal is to create wines that are big in flavor - the kind of wines we enjoy drinking ourselves - and share this experience of discovery with you. We immersed ourselves in the intimidating (yet exciting) transition into wine making because of our love of wine and the place it has held in our relationship for much of our adult lives. We’ve spent years exploring different wineries and vineyards and have always been drawn to the joy wine contributes to the lives of those who enjoy the fruits of that labor. Wine is used to celebrate all of life’s occasions, from landmark moments, to holidays, to simply spending time around a dinner table with friends and family. If we can craft wines that you choose to make part of your personal story, then our goals for Sequence Wines will have been a success.  After all, we are all just stories in the making, so we decided to make this really huge edit in our lives to improve our story.

Rough Cut

Rough Cut

$ 45.00 USD

Our debut release, this Cabernet is sourced entirely from the immaculately farmed Stagg Canyon Ranch Vineyard. Nestled in the warm micro-climate of the Santa Ynez Valley, they produce Cabernet, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Using a combination of neutral and new French oak, this incredible limited edition wine has notes of black pepper and dark cherry, firm tannins with balanced acidity. Only 25 cases made.

N.V Red Blend

Sold Out
$ 35.00 USD

This California Red Blend, truly is as the name suggests. Mixed varietals, terroirs and even vintages. We did a lot of blending trials before coming to the perfect blend for our 2020 Petite Sirah grapes from Los Olivos. It just so happened to be best complimented by an equal percentage of 2017 Los Angeles County Zinfandel and a 2018 Tannat from Paso Robles. Mixed has notes of black cherry, vanilla, leather and eucalyptus on the nose. We wanted to make a big full bodied, fruit forward Red blend and that is exactly what we got in Mixed.

In The Making...

My wife and I founded Sequence Wines from a profound love of wine and a passion for the artistry that goes into producing it. As a television editor, I've crafted countless stories, each one lying within an edit “sequence”. After years of visiting vineyards and drawing inspiration from other winemakers’ journeys, our dream of winemaking being part of our story, has now become a reality. We have started small, utilizing traditional wine making methods beginning with native yeast fermentation to create great wines that focus on Bordeaux and Italian varietals.

Our goal is to showcase the exceptional fruit coming from Southern California’s premium vineyards with each Sequence you experience. We are crafting our story in barrel to become part of your stories with each bottle. Here’s to the memories we hope you’ll create while drinking them.

"Thank you for being a part of our story… Cheers!"
